The Journal of Second Language Studies is an academic platform dedicated to promoting second language learning and teaching research. This journal not only focuses on theoretical exploration, but also emphasizes the combination of theoretical research and practical teaching practice to promote innovation and development of second language teaching methods. JSLS emphasizes an interdisciplinary research perspective and encourages scholars to delve into the cognitive mechanisms, psychological processes, and social interactions involved in second language learning from different fields such as psychology, cognitive science, and socio-cultural perspectives.
This interdisciplinary research approach helps to reveal the language acquisition processes of second language learners in different environments, as well as the factors that influence these processes. By integrating theories and methods from different disciplines, a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of second language acquisition has been provided. Special attention has been paid to the study of Chinese as a second language. With the popularization of Chinese worldwide, more and more non-native speakers are starting to learn Chinese. By publishing relevant research, valuable theoretical support and practical guidance have been provided for Chinese language teaching, helping educators better understand the needs of Chinese learners, optimize teaching strategies, and improve teaching effectiveness.
