一、写作错误分析的必要性
由于缺乏语言环境,中国学生在课外进行英语交流的机会少之又少,在课堂上的口语训练也极为有限,这导致很多学生的口语表达能力和整体英语水平不成正比,因此通过考察口语情况分析学生的语言能力具有不确定性。写作,作为另一种重要的语言输出方式,和口语相比更具有稳定性和确定性,是对学生英语水平、语言掌握情况进行衡量的有效手段。通过分析和研究学生的英语写作错误,了解他们的语言特点,对掌握学生的学习困惑,及时调整教学侧重点,提高学生的学习能力,减少学生犯错误的可能性,从而提高学生的整体英语水平都具有现实意义。
二、研究问题和研究方法
1.研究问题。
(1)写作中存在的哪些语言错误类型,各占比例是多少?(2)各类错误是否对作文质量有决定性影响?
2.研究工具。
SPSS。
3.研究对象。
我所在校2005级音体美专业2006―2007学年度期末考试作文,共计238篇,其中8份试卷作文部分空白,视为无效试卷。因此,所分析作文共230篇,共计21160个单词。
4.评分人。
所在校大学英语代课教师。为确保作文分数信度,每篇作文由3名代课教师分别打分,采用三个分数的平均分数作为作文分数。
三、结果与讨论
1.错误类型及比例分析。
统计显示,样本中语言错误共5161处,针对错误类型和特点,我对其进行了归纳分类,见表1。
从表1中可以看出,样本学生作文中错误类型主要分为四大类,即词汇错误、时态语态错误、固定搭配错误及逐字翻译和英语表达习惯错误。其中词汇错误最为严重,占总错误量的63.5%,远远高于大学英语四级考试子语料库中的词汇错误53.65%(何华清,2009)。这说明音体美专业学生对词汇的掌握和运用远低于普通专业学生。在词汇错误中,占比例最高的是拼写错误,高达52.55%,这说明学生对单词拼写的记忆很差,多数单词记忆不清,模棱两可。词类、大小写、词序方面的错误也比较明显,分别为13.02%,7.91%,7.72%。逐字翻译的错误出现频率也很高,占总错误的18.67%。学生的作文中满是汉语思维痕迹,摆脱不了母语语言习惯的影响,严重违背英语表达规则。如:

固定搭配方面的错误主要表现在介词的搭配上。有的是把搭配记错,有的是记准了搭配,但是使用错误。还有学生只能使用简单句型,对于短语、从句运用很少。

时态和语态方面错误比例为6.1%,但存在的问题在于,多数学生的作文都采用较为简单的一般现在时及一般过去时,避免使用掌握不佳的其他时态。同样,被动语态也很少被采用。因此,通篇作文尽管时态语态错误和其他错误类型相比所占比例不高,但表达过于单调,文章不具美感。
2.错误类型与作文分数相关性分析。
作文作为各种信息的汇总,既体现了学生对单词语法的掌握程度,又体现了学生对所学语言知识的运用能力。数据统计显示,词汇错误与作文分数为负相关(r=-0.574,p=.01),说明词汇错误越多,作文分数越低。词汇的正确性严重地影响了作文质量和学生的书面表达能力。其他几类错误,尽管与作文分数相关系数不大,但都达到显著水平,具有统计意义。
四、针对性的教学建议
1.加强学生词汇训练,熟练掌握常用词汇的用法。
通过分析可以看出,词汇能力是音体美专业学生英语学习中的的一个弱项。一方面,因其专业的特殊性,音体美专业学生文化课水平整体偏低,英语基础普遍很差。另一方面,音体美专业要求学生利用大量的时间进行专业练习,对英语学习的重视普遍不够,在英语课程上所花费的时间远远不足。因此,授课教师应该在教学过程中对音体美专业学生区别对待。对于其他专业学生可以自学的词汇及词汇应用部分应该在音体美专业英语课堂上花时间进行讲解,带领学生进行词汇应用练习,巩固学生已学词汇,并引导学生利用多种词汇记忆方法,增加词汇量,从而提高学生的词汇水平。
2.培养学生英语思维,逐渐减少逐字翻译现象。
用汉语思维进行英语表达是所有中国学生在学习英语过程中的一个通病。中国式英语无论在口语表达还是书面写作中都屡见不鲜。如何引导学生逐渐形成英语思维,进行恰当的表达是英语教学中的一个难题。对于基础颇差的音体美专业学生更是如此。然而语言作为文化的载体,一直是和文化分不开的。因此我认为,除了加强英语语言知识的学习外,引入西方文化教学也是培养学生英语思维的一个有效手段。
3.进行分级教学。
分级教学重视学生的个体差异,能够满足各类学生不同的需要,符合学生的认知需求,体现了因材施教这一重要教学理论,恰好符合音体美专业学生英语水平参差不齐、要求各异的特征。因此,在新生入校时,对他们进行分班考试,根据学生的考试成绩,将学生分为不同层次班级,针对不同层次的班级,不同层次的学生,教师从不同的起点进行教学,制定不同的教学内容,采用灵活的教学方法,从而取得良好的教学效果。
总之,音体美专业学生的英语水平的提高不是一个简单的过程,但是我们可以从他们的薄弱环节入手,采用恰当的教学方法,运用多种教学手段,学校、教师和学生共同努力,这样才能取得良好的教学效果。

一、试题分析
今年的题目四平八稳,生词、难词较少,所以学生普遍反映比平时做的题容易。听力语速适中,单项填空推陈出新,更注重对学生综合能力的考查;完形填空很完美地将课本内容与考试结合在一起;阅读理解题目整体难度基本与去年持平,选项中也基本没有出现让学生很难以取舍的干扰项;改错题比较难入手,错误之处藏得较为隐蔽;作文依然沿用书信体,谈论的话题也是熟悉的话题。
二、备考策略
(一)重视考纲,熟悉考试要求
要以《教学大纲》《考试大纲》为备考复习的主要依据,进一步熟悉高考试题的改革走向、命题原则,找准英语学科的难点、重点、常考点和学科能力要求,以保证复习的方向性和科学性,减少无效劳动。
(二)重视课本,巩固“双基”
虽然高考试题中不能出现教材上现成的东西,但是却能从中发现它们的“蛛丝马迹”,这些试题是对课本内容的变形、改造和综合。比如今年广西高考听力试题第十段材料,就与高三课本第一单元the Guinness Book of World Records相似,以及今年的完形填空的话题就出自高一课本Body Language,在考试中碰到这样的题让广大考生倍感亲切,觉得特别能“学以致用”。所以所谓“以本为本”就是复习中要以熟悉课本,以课本内容、基础知识、基本技能为切入点进行复习。以往有些老师认为考试不考课本,在一轮复习时对课本内容轻描淡写地一笔带过,甚至是不看课本,让学生一味地做题,这种做法是不对的。我们要指导学生科学地记忆课本单词,如坚持每天复习30到50个单词,由少到多,反复轮回,直到高考;又如通过听写等形式了解学生对单词掌握的程度;甚至于把常用的几百个单词尤其是使用频率高的动词、短语及典型用法整理出来,印发给学生,让学生重点关注。对复习中的重点词汇和短语的用法,特别是活用性很强的词汇作进一步讲解,并设计适当的巩固性练习,使学生在具体的语境中活学活用。以本为本就是要回归基础,尤其是复习后期,教师不但要自己做到,更要引导学生回归教材,梳理知识、查漏补缺、减缓节奏、控制标高,要敢于和善于把时间还给学生,将学生的主要精力和时间引导到基础知识、基本技能和教材上。与此同时,适当地做一点各种类型的练习,以此维持学生的做题感。
(三)重视纠错,及时查漏补缺
整个高三阶段学生要做一些试题,我们要好好利用这些题,找出学生的错漏,及时更正,并要继续强化对学生薄弱环节的训练,充分利用平常练习、考试及答疑中所搜集到的学生的典型错误,将其分类整理,并进行变式处理,再安排到其他次考试中加以巩固。
(四)重视考试,提高应试技能
我们有必要在备考后期集中进行强化模拟训练,包括从知识到能力到心态的全面训练,帮助学生总结出适合自己的考试方法及技巧。同时精讲精练,精选出设计严密,具有科学性、系统性、针对性的试题,限时完成,保证质量。学生通过考试练习及时发现问题和解决问题,提高分辨能力,增强知识的理解和记忆,提高语言运用能力,掌握解题技巧。

1.书法关。以往的经验告诉我们,整洁漂亮的书写能为考试中的书面表达加分不少。书法是我校历来强调的重点,从高一入学就开始练,但很多学生往往到了高三才真正重视。教师首先要重视,其次才能指导督促学生进行有效的书法练习。每年我们高三英语备课组会向学生提供范本和专门的抄写本,今年也不例外。我们这届的科任老师每周都能定期检查书法练习并批改,还参与学生间的心得交流,给予有效的方法指导,使之落到实处。而书法的强化练习要在高三上学期的头两个月内完成,也就是说我们老师必须保证所带班级的书法效果在前两个月内实现质的飞跃,因为越往后,这种机械练习带来的成就感和耐心会越来越少,让学生觉得练字会占用其他做练习的时间而不愿意多花时间。
2.写作关。我们在批改学生习作时不难发现学生普遍存在错字多、句子不通顺等问题,反复强调也不见改正。写不出像样的东西是因为脑子无物,所以首先我们要做的是要求学生背诵涉及各类文体和话题的范文,让学生有一定的积累。和练书法一样,背范文是最直接看得到进步和效果的,学生最容易从中获得成就感,这对于高三学生的备考心理来说很重要;其次,教师要想办法让学生的成就感扩大化,让学生觉得能学以致用,进而从被动地记忆练习到主动地喜欢上背范文。例如我校2012届高三英语备课组发挥集体的力量,编了相应的作文题,每周拿出一节课时间让学生专门练习,对层次较低的班级要求适量放宽,两个星期练习一次。每周练的作文我们尽量全收全改,并从每次批改的作文当中挑出学生易写错的单词,反复进行听写;最后就是依靠足够数量的练习和对学生进行写法技巧的指导了。
3.词汇关。词汇记忆是学生最头疼的。在记忆的过程中学生常常是今天记明天忘,甚至转身就能忘。对此,我们经常鼓励学生要有信心,记忆单词由简入繁,循环反复,不断滚动复习。不可忽略的一点是学生中大多数自制力不够强,惰性大,所以需要老师不厌其烦地进行督促检查。我们的做法是坚持在每节课的前五分钟进行随堂听写。另外,我们让学生记忆的内容也不会超纲,因为超纲不科学,不利于学生树立本学科的学习信心。范围就维持在复习课本词汇、词组和大纲词汇的基础上,从平时的阅读练习中适当地拓展词汇认知的面。为了便于学生复习,我校2012届高三英语备课组还特别印了一本词汇复习手册,把要求记忆的词汇收在其中,这样做还能让学生更明确学习的目标。
4.语法关。总体上,从词汇的角度讲,动词、名词、形容词、副词是学习的重点,冠词是难点,介词、连词和代词是易错点;从语法的角度讲,动词的时态和语态、状语从句、定语从句、名词性从句是重点,非谓语动词是难点,主谓一致、强调句型和倒装句是易错点。我校在今年的高三英语备考中主张在练习中练语法,用练习来归纳语法,但不是专门练,而是根据学生的情况,区别对待,有的放矢,逐个击破,达到优化备考时间的目的。
(二)以下“四关”应贯穿高三全年
1.听力关。听力能力需要平时积累,抛开这些积累去谈什么解题策略都是枉然。我校每周都有四次统一训练的时间,每次听一套题,一直坚持到高考。课余要求听力方面较弱的学生加强训练。
2.阅读关。定时阅读——每周一节阅读课,对学生进行定时阅读训练,不同层次的学生有不同的阅读要求。首先,量上有一定的区别,成绩优秀者须完成5篇材料,中等生4篇,学困生3篇;其次,课外阅读——材料难度上有一定的区别,每天必有任务,给优秀学生增加一些大学英语四级阅读材料,给学困生一些难度略低的文章,提高他们的阅读兴趣,培养他们获取信息的能力。除了做到以上几点外,还应特别重视阅读练习的讲评。我们觉得让学生自己讲评,对学生能力的培养很重要。
3.练习关。老师要很好地把握练习的难度和练习的量,少讲多练,精讲精练,把课堂时间还给学生。我校2012届高三学生平均每周都能完成3套英语练习的量。除了做题的数量要适量,难度要适度之外,贵在做后的纠错、反思和总结,老师不能就题讲题,要强调思路,进行多角度设问,使一题变成多题,增大容量,使学生不但知其然,还知其所以然,形成正迁移能力,在高考中达到举一反三、触类旁通的目的。我们这一届备课组全体老师发挥集体备课的作用,对做过的每套题的结果进行分析,针对学生普遍做错的题目进行集体讨论,这样在讲评时就能更到位,能更好地避免单打独斗带来的缺漏。
4.心理关。有经验的老师都知道高三学生最难过的是心理这一关。随着高考的日益临近,部分学生会越学越着急,认为自己还没练习够。作为高三英语科的任课教师,在整个高三阶段,特别是临考前夕要自始至终给学生以积极的心理暗示,为他们减压,为自己松绑。对学生的关注绝对不能只停留在课堂上,如我校这一届高三英语组全体教师都积极响应年级组要求,主动配合班主任利用课前、课后的空余时间深入学生中间交心、谈心,课内外善于“察言观色”,及时了解学生的学习状况,帮助他们排解英语复习中的困惑和考试的焦虑感,鼓励他们不断调整复习策略,使整个备考复习工作的进程、节奏始终处于我们的掌控之中。
