关键词:书面表达 批改 讲评
英语写作教学在英语教学中占据了非常重要的地位,它重在考查学生的词汇、语言结构、功能与话题等语言综合运用能力。它要求学生根据文字、图片或表格提供的信息写成短文,能在写作中做到文体规范,语言通顺,意思表达准确无误。然而目前学生的英语写作仍然存在语言贫乏、词汇不丰富、句子意识差、表达不得体、句子结构单一、文章缺少连贯性等不尽人意的现象。尽管教师花大量的时间用于批改和讲评学生的作文,但效果还是不明显。英语写作已成为英语教学的一大难题,也成了英语教学的瓶颈。究其原因,英语写作教学一直以来重复同一种模式:老师布置写作内容――学生完成后上交――教师批改――返还给学生。这种传统模式的弊端是显而易见的,主要表现在:师生间的信息传递大多是教师的单向灌输,教师包揽了很多学生应做的活动,使得英语作文教学枯燥无味,质量也难以提高。老师在学生的作文本上密密麻麻的修改令学生觉得作文索然无味且摸不着头脑,很多学生干脆看也不看老师批改过的作文,直接扔到一边,久而久之学生丧失了写作文的信心和兴趣。为了改变这种“教师教得累,学生学得烦”的高投入、低产出的教学现状,我们需要探索一些新的作文批改与讲评方法,使得作文教学变得轻松和富有活力,同时产生良好的教学效果。
一、 当堂即写即改
教师可以出一些学生感兴趣的或与课本话题有关的题目,让学生当堂限时写作,这样可以培养学生形成正确审题和快速组织文章基本框架的能力,让学生在作文的写作过程和评改中受到启发,思维得到锻炼。具体操作为: ① 出示题目与写作要求; ② 限时写作; ③ 例文讲评; ④ 自己修改作文。
二、 辅导式面批
叶圣陶先生指出:“给学生改作文,最有效的方法是面批。”教师当面指出学生作文中的问题,并对其进行单独辅导,对不同的学生提出不同的建议和要求,同时也可以增进师生间的交流,加深感情,树立学生的自信心,激发他们的学习积极性。
三、 部分精批,其余泛批
教师认真批改其中的一部分作文,常常会发现学生会犯同样的错误,如某个单词的拼写错误、时态错误、汉语式英语等。教师归纳这些典型性错误后集中在课堂上进行讲评,这样做会比单独讲解省时省力,是常用的讲评作文的方法。
四、 提供学生写作原稿,小组合作修改
为了营造浓厚的学习气氛,使学生在学习写作过程中形成互帮互学的风气,可以采用小组合作的方式来批改作文。学生会学得更快、更多,锻炼了用所学的语言知识评判同学作文的能力,也提高了自己写作的能力。每个学生都有机会评判别人的作文,自己的作文也有机会让别人评判,在评与被评的过程中学到了写作知识,还增加了对写作的兴趣和信心,变被动学习为主动学习。
五、 学生互改作文
“授人以鱼,不如授人以渔”。学生作文的提高不能只依靠教师的批改,因而培养学生对自己的作文进行自我修改的能力至关重要。让学生互批作文是锻炼他们这方面能力的有效方法。这样,每个学生既是作者,又是读者。学生在写作过程中往往不善于发现自己作文中存在的问题和错误,而看别人的作文时却是头脑异常地清醒。教师先要做必要的指导,告诉他们从哪几个方面去评价别人的作文,也可以做一些示范。同时要求学生不但要发现错误和不足,而且要能找出比别人作文中的优点和长处,一分为二地进行评价。经常地互改作文可以让学生从别人的作文中学到很多东西,也学会批判性地指出别人的错误,从而避免自己犯同样的错误,达到取人之长、补己之短的目的。
六、 摘录好句,展示佳作
在指出学生作文错误的同时,教师也应以欣赏的眼光看待学生的习作。从中摘出精彩的语句,最好注明其作者,然后一起赏析佳句。通过课堂的展示,写出佳句的学生就产生了成就感,从而激励他在以后的写作中不断思考和创新。每次作文后选择一到两篇优秀习作朗读,最好抄写或打印,在教室一角建立“佳作欣赏”,期末时把所有的优秀作品装订成册,作为课外资料进行传阅。

下面展示在经过一年的教学实验,两个班在同一写作任务下,两种英语写作教学方法的过程以及教学效果:
同一写作任务
假如你是李华。你计划周末的时候去远足。准备发帖找个外国朋友作为游伴(travel mate)。请你根据以下要点提示,用英语写一个帖子,并发在国际驴友论坛上。要点提示:1. 发帖目的;2. 交代清楚各项事项(如行程安排、费用情况)以及你对对方的要求;3. 说明对方和你一起远足的好处。
注意:1. 内容可以适当发挥,以使行文连贯;2. 词数120左右。
我在A班(对比班)采用的是成果写作教学法
首先,我为学生提供范文,对范文进行分析,讲解,然后学生模仿范文独立完成写作任务。最后,学生上交作文成品,老师一一评阅,对其中四十份进行了分析总结。
A班(对比班) 四十份作文得分情况统计结果:大约12.5%的学生平时基础较好,能较好地完成写作任务,这些同学基本能得28―32分(满分35份),37.5%的学生成绩为24―27分,32.5%的学生成绩为20―23分,其余17.5%的学生成绩偏低,仅为14―19分。此次作文,四十份抽样试卷平均分为23.12分。四十份作文中具有普遍性的错误有:
1. 审题不清。首先,没弄清网上发“帖子”的格式,具体表现为:无标题,无正确的结尾。其次,漏掉重要信息点。尤其是“你对对方的要求;说明对方和你一起远足的好处。”这两个信息点被漏掉一个,更甚者有同学把这两个点都漏掉,导致严重扣分。
2. 要点表述不清,词不达意,汉式英语泛滥,令人费解。
3. 普通词汇连篇,句型结构简单,连接词使用频率低。
4. 语法错误多,句子结构不全,动词时态混用,主谓不一致等等。
从A班采用的成果教学方法来看,学生经过一年的英语写作练习,写作水平整体提升幅度不大,学生的写作习惯、审题能力以及语言的驾驭能力都还需要强化。
在实验班(B班),我采用过程写作教学法
以下是完成此次写作任务的过程:
第一阶段:学生写前准备。分为三个步骤:
一、老师和学生一起讨论确定该作文的体裁。在网上发一帖子,属于应用文写作范畴。确定写作的格式;标题要求醒目。
二、讨论分析主题内容,第一部分简单介绍自己,并写清发帖的目的。第二部分介绍行程安排。第三部分说明费用情况。第四部分说明自己对旅伴的要求。第五部分阐述对方和自己一起远足的好处。最后结尾,为感兴趣的网友留下联系方式。
三、头脑风暴,激活学生已有词汇表达。同学老师各抒己见、集思广益,大家集体讨论,把自己列出的好的单词、短语、句型和其他人分享,同时记录别人好的思路和表达方式。
第二阶段:初稿。学生把第一阶段收集到的信息整理,连词成句,连句成文,形成初稿。然后,学生对自己的作文稿进行初查。检查时要注意以下几点:要点是否遗漏,句子结构是否正确,谓语动词的时态语态是否正确,主谓是否一致,名词的单复数变化是否有错,单词拼写是否有错等等。
第三阶段:学生互评。学生互相评改作文,批改者若有疑问,可双方讨论或查阅资料后再更正。若有争议,可请教老师。在学生相互批改作文的过程中,学生不由自主地跟自己的作文对照,从而取其精华,去其糟粕,更大程度地提高自己的表达能力,并培养他们发现问题和解决问题的能力。
第四阶段,学生修改重写。同学之间修改评阅之后,学生自己修改错误,重写作文。
第五阶段,老师批阅,师生交流。针对学生的个别问题,耐心辅导,对症下药。第六阶段:学生再编辑定稿。经过几轮的讨论修改,学生取长补短,整理信息,改正错误,最后完成作品。
B班(实验班) 四十份作文得分情况统计结果:大约32.5%的学生作文语言表达准确流畅,他们的得分为28―33分(满分35份),50%的学生成绩为24―27分,15%的学生成绩为20―23分,只有一位学生由于英语基础太弱成绩偏低,仅为16分。此次作文,四十份抽样试卷平均分为27.46分。
采用过程写作法教学,在学生作文中所凸显出的优点有:
1. 低级错误明显减少,没有学生出现遗漏信息点的情况。
2. 词汇较高级,表述清晰,句型变化多,连接词使用恰当。
3. 卷面整洁……
从以上呈现的实验教学效果来看,农村学校的学生在进行一段时间的过程写作法教学之后,作文的审题能力、遣词造句能力、自我纠错能力都有了很大的提高,学生书面表达的词汇和内容积累得更多,能更准确地传达出信息点的意思。考试中,学生作文得分率高。
通过A班和B班的两种写作教学方法的教学效果对比分析:
结果写作教学法效果分析:
优点:耗时少,营造出考试的氛围,让学生在不借助任何外力的情况下,自己独立审题、抓要点,自己遣词造句完成写作。因此,结果写作法提供给学生独立完成写作的经历,增强了信心,提高了学生的应试能力。
不足之处:在考试中,学生的总体写作水平不高,作文高分率低。
过程写作教学法教学效果分析:
优点:从审题到最后定稿教师和学生大量的互动,有利于学生养成良好的写作习惯,通过这一系列的活动,学生的写作基础得以夯实,写作能力也会有大的突破。
不足之处:耗时较多。反复几轮互动,到定稿,要花两节课时间。高中英语周课时少、课程内容多,很多教师更多的侧重学生阅读能力的提高,所以不愿意耗时来采用这种方法。

一、英语活动课的特点及形式
英语活动课的最大特点就是:让学生自己活,自己动,在活动中培养自主意识,发挥主体性,让他们真正成为活动课的主人。两年来我们在活动课上尝试了以下几种形式:
1 角色扮演。角色扮演的形式有:小品、小话剧、情景对话等。教材中有大量的对话可供学生表演。教学中开展角色扮演不仅能激发学生的情感,调动学生的积极性,而且给学生提供了学习语言、理解语言和参加语言实践的机会。
2 做游戏。游戏的内容和方法很多,如字母和数字游戏、看图猜谜、句子接龙、室外活动等。游戏集趣味性、娱乐性、知识性为一体,使学生在娱乐中学有所得。
3 学生介绍推介会。学期中适时组织学生开展诸如自我情况介绍、班级情况介绍、寝室情况介绍、就餐情况介绍、上课情况介绍、两操情况介绍、学校大型活动双语介绍等活动。学生介绍收到了较好的效果。

5 动手操作活动(笔头表达)。该活动一般放在重要节日前或学了相关的内容后进行。如教师节前组织学生开展给教师制作节日贺卡的活动。要求贺卡内容全部用英语书写。学生学了英文信后,我们组织学生模拟与英语国家学生通信,交笔友。
二、初中英语活动课实践
1 内容要有趣。在选择内容时,要选学生感兴趣的,能够调动他们学英语积极性的内容。如,当学生积累了一定数量的有关颜色的单词后,让学生以填字母、组单词的形式开展游戏活动,同学们兴趣盎然,个个都争着参与,内容的趣味性使活动课有声有色。
2 形式要多样。英语活动课常用的形式有角色扮演、智力游戏、讲故事等。形式多样,学生才不会感到枯燥无味,才能激发他们的兴趣。多样化的课堂活动形式有利于集中学生的注意力。教师在设计活动时应充分考虑活动形式的多样性,采取灵活的教学手段和方法,创设丰富的教学情境,调动学生的积极性。
3 方法要灵活。如可组织学生写贺卡,采用游戏法和表演法等。
4 观念要创新。英语活动课在设计上,要求改变传统的观念,要因时制宜、因地制宜、因学生制宜,设计出内容新颖、别致、有趣,形式多样、方法灵活的活动课,这样有利于发挥学生的发散性思维、开发智力、提高能力。
5 在活动过程中,教师要做好调控。要充分利用时间、空间以及学生资源,调动学生的积极性,引导同学之间、小组之间进行有效的协调和沟通。在整个过程中,教师都要发挥管理和监控的作用。督促小组成员之间共享资源。实现共同奖励,促进互帮互学。
三、英语活动课存在的误区
1 流于形式,为了活动而活动。即活动不能与语言学习紧密结合,缺乏目标,活动时多数学生成为旁观者,实际参与率不高。
2 脱离学生学习、生活和语言水平的实际,活动无法顺利完成,浮于表面,不能真正展开和深入。
3 有些活动设计实质上只停留在语言的有意学习和机械训练层面上,没有体现语言学习的真实性和交互性。
4 不面向全体,缺乏互动,部分学生参与其中,情绪高涨,其他学生漠不关心,无精打采,袖手旁观。
四、尝试的收获
1 活动中,精心创设的语言环境给学生提供了更多的运用所学语言材料的场所,学生有更多的听说读写的锻炼机会,提高了学生综合运用英语的能力,促进了教学任务的全面完成。
2 英语活动课促进了学生的特长发挥。在活动过程中,有特长的学生脱颖而出,成长为英语学习骨干。三年来,我所带实验班的学生撰写的英语日记、作文等多次在学校重要的活动中斩获奖项,高冉、白雨荷的作文先后在市教研室组织的小作文活动中获奖,曹慧玲在市教研室组织的英语演讲比赛中获奖。
3 活动课培养了学生的非智力品质。活动课使教师、学生打成一片,学生的集体荣誉感增强了,班级的凝聚力增强了,学生的自我约束管理能力增强了。由于给学生提供了较多的交流思想和表达情感的机会,不少比较内向的学生也变得开朗多了。
