英语书面表达是由句子构成的,句子的优劣直接影响整篇文章的质量,因此书面表达练习应从句子练起。如老师每天给学生补充10个句子让其背诵,第二天听写,下午将批改情况反馈给学生。如此,学生既掌握了重点短语,又熟悉了句子的语法结构,在写作过程中能够熟练运用,对写作起到积极作用。这样,学生在每周的本单元话题小作文中,就能使用一周来背诵的句子,完成作文。具体方法:
一、摘重点句
在刚开始教授一个新的单元时,如果本单元内容较难、较丰富,可以直接摘出课文中的重点句子让学生记忆背诵。
课本中的文章是许多专家共同努力编写出来的,里面大多是经典的句子。摘出来后让学生背诵,会加深印象。如人教版九年级一单元,是有关学习方法的,本单元内容多,重点单词、短语和句型与学生实际生活很贴近,这就要求我们的学生熟练掌握并背诵书上原汁原味的句子。所以在本单元讲授前,可以让学生预习并背诵如下句子:
Day (一)

二、补充句子
将所学本单元的重点单词、短语揉到平时常见、常用的句子结构中。编出10个相对较规范的句子让学生背诵,为书面表达写正确的句子奠定良好的基础。
如第9册第一单元有重要的短语:做笔记take notes, 可以与句型had better do/not do sth. 搭配起来连成句子:You’d better take grammar notes carefully in class. 或者与句式decide to do sth.搭配使用。如:My elder brother decides to take notes in English classes because he needs to get better grades. 等等。
这样将本单元所学的重点内容与本单元或以往所学重要句型搭配使用,让学生不仅可以熟练掌握正在学习的重点内容,而且巩固了所学的重要句子,达到了灵活运用、举一反三的目的。
三、连句成篇
在学完一个单元时,可以给学生由几个句子组成的段落来背诵、默写。然后进入书面表达。
如第8册(下)第二单元是志愿者活动的内容,我们给学生的范文如下:

四、检测背诵
在实施课外补充句子的实践过程中,如何检测学生背诵记忆的效果呢?
一般来说可以采用全班听写的方式进行,但实施环节中,我发现全班听写形式效果欠佳,容易让学生失去兴趣。如何解决这个问题呢?
(一)考虑学生英语层次水平的差别
任何一个班级的学生都存在好、中、差的区别。如果不考虑到学生的特点,一味偏重较好的学生,势必会忽视大批的中、下游学生。在编写句子时,要考虑符合学生的特点,贴近学生的学习、生活。所以每天给学生编写的句子应有层次,在难易程度上有所区别,保障每班中下游学生不受打击,保护其自尊心,尽量达到每天过关。根据所给句子的难易程度,每天过关的句子数量可以不确定。
(二)在句子内容的真实性、趣味性和逻辑性上下功夫
初中生往往喜欢接触新鲜事物,对知识的系统归纳较欠缺。针对这种情况,老师在编写句子时,可以选用学生感兴趣的人或事物,用句子把身边发生的事情如实反映出来。这样学生背诵的不再是空洞枯燥的书本知识,能很好地吸引学生,达到事半功倍的效果。
所编写的句子还要有趣味性和逻辑性,达到提纲挈领的作用。初中的学生虽然缺乏看事物的整体性,但他们的抽象思维能力正在逐步提高,所以句子要有内涵,能启发学生思考。对句子结构、含义以及逻辑性都要斟酌在先。
另外,每天的句子要围绕本单元的话题,不能单纯地练句型、语法。这样学生才能通过使用每天背诵的句子达到表达思想的目标,为每周的话题作铺垫。
(三)检测评价具有激励性
改变全班整体性评价机制,根据学生英语基础和接受能力的不同,实施个体评价制度。小组长每天记录本组学生得分情况,当小组中的个体得分有变化时,能及时发现,老师通过恰当的教育教学方式,不失时机地给不同层次的学生以充分的肯定、激励和赞扬,使学生在心理上获得自信和成功的体验,激发学生学习动机,诱发其学习兴趣,内化学生的人格,使学生积极主动地学习。
通过补充练习活动,初中三年大部分学生可为图片提供简单的文字说明,并能用英语表达自己的观点;中、下程度的学生能够仿照学过的题材或话题,利用所给的范例写简单的书信、便条、通知等;能按要求笔头转述所听、所读的简单内容。
总之,语言的学习是为了表情达意,如何让学生在日常学习中积累并逐步提高,是英语老师应进行的尝试和探索。我相信,功夫在平时,只要找到科学、有效的方法并持之以恒,学生的英语写作水平一定会节节攀高。

河北版英语教科书突出英语交际能力的培养,也就是口语的表达,但在实际生活中,我们知道:大部分学生都对英语口语表达存在着很大的问题:有的学生笔试成绩好,口语却很糟;在会话中,有的心里想的挺不错,但一开头表达就不完整;还有的学生自由会话时语言流畅,思维敏捷,可当着全班学生交流时就吞吞吐吐,结结巴巴等,诸如此类的现象比比皆是,分析起来,大都是由于学生对口语表达不感兴趣,内心焦虑紧张;说英语的时间和场所少;学生个性差异所造成的。那么,如何才能提高学生口语表达能力呢?下面我谈谈自己的一些想法,仅与同仁探讨。
一、加强学生对英语口语学习目的性的教育,激发和培养学生对英语口语的需求和兴趣
作为英语老师,应该明确英语教学目的和要求。英语新课标要求通过英语语言的学习,从而达到解决实际问题的能力。老师应该在教学过程中联系实际生活,讲讲英语在当今生活中的一些实际运用的事例,从而激发他们学英语的兴趣,像问路、指路、购物、看病就医,打电话等这些课本上出现的日常用语,就与生活联系很紧密。比如2009年春节联欢晚会上由郭达和蔡明主演的小品《北京欢迎你》实际上就是用英语来给别人指路的话题。剧情大概是这样的:郭达想替儿子当一回志愿者,另一位老大妈也就是蔡明的扮演者也很想体验一下当志愿者的感受,但他们俩都因语言障碍而无法与前来北京观光的外国游客交流,直到真正的志愿者也就是郭达的儿子出现后,而且只用了三言两语就给外国游客指明了方向。这是为何?原因很简单:就因为他会说英语。假如我们的学生就是剧中那位真正的志愿者,那么这一次为外国游客成功服务的经历,说不定就是他日后努力学习英语口语的巨大动力。因为他在现实生活中已经真实的感受到了英语口语的重要性。
二、创设语言环境,培养口语表达的兴趣
俗话说:兴趣是最好的老师。前面我们提到学生有说英语的欲望,那么如果此时老师把学生感兴趣的内容让他们进行表达,如可采取创设情景、短剧表演、小组对话、讲故事、学唱歌曲、做值日报告等多样化的课内教学方法与丰富多彩的课外活动紧密结合,不断给学生表达的机会,不断给学生新的刺激,培养他们对口语表达的浓厚兴趣。我想他们肯定是非常乐意的。光这些还远远不够,我们知道,口语训练的最大困难是学生的心理障碍,怕自己说错了被别人笑话,就不敢开口,因此,教师首先要加强师生间的情感交流,让学生对教师有一种亲近感和信任感。其次,教师要面带笑容,采取先入为主的态度,用标准的语音音调吸引学生,从丰富多彩的活动中激发学生说英语的积极性,是他们受到英美标准发音的熏陶,感受到语言的魅力,进而产生想开口说英语的欲望。
三、培养学生用英语思维的习惯
在教学中,教师还要坚持“尽量使用英语,适当利用母语”的教学原则,减少学生对母语的依赖性和母语对英语教学的负迁移,教师的教和学生的学尽量不用母语为中介的翻译法,即使使用也应该加强分析对比。要求学生由使用英汉双解词典逐步过渡到使用英英词典,有利于学生掌握词汇的内涵和外延。这样有效提高了学生的理解运用能力,也培养了学生张口说英语的习惯。
四、加强课外语言实践,提高口语应变技能
除了课堂上的教学活动以外,还应该在课余时间进行交际活动,使语言形成语言意义和学生生活实际相联系,使语言技能逐步发展。比如,组织学生开辟英语交流会,尽可能把学生至于真实的交际情景中。教师可选择接近学生现实生活的话题,如问候、告别、介绍、祝贺、感谢、过节、过生日、打电话、购物、道歉等,要求学生结合自己的实际情况记所见所闻进行自由交谈,展开交际活动,从而使自己的口语能力得到充分的锻炼。犹如配音表演,目前在教学中多使用多媒体教学设备,我们可以利用这些设计,制作具有连续性的一组图片,让学生根据图片内容配上一段相应的英语对话。同一组图片还可以反复使用,学生尽情发挥,对话内容不拘一格,最后教师还可以从语音、语调、内容三方面评选出“最佳配音”。为图片配对话不仅可以激发学生进行英语对话的兴趣,而且能够培养学生随机应变的能力,大大提高了学生的交际能力。
五、加强朗读和背诵,积累知识和提高口语能力
朗读和背诵也是英语语言和知识积累的过程,还是训练英语发音、节奏、连贯、停顿以及换气的有效方法。可以选择学生喜欢的材料朗读背诵,选择的材料最好有录音,且语音语调纯正。比如说,你可以让学生背诵一些日常生活中常见的口头表达,并且是课本上也学过的一些用语,如:What's the weather like today ?How are you today?Are you ok?How do youfeel?我记得上高中时,我们的英语老师给我们布置了英语作文,交上去后,老师往往花很长的时间去修改,结果发现我们写的句子,错误是五花八门,很多课本中学过的常用句子好多都写错了,更别说课本中没见过的句子。后来,我们的老师改变了方法,不怎么让我们去写作文,而是让我们去背诵一些好的句子和短文。这样一来,即使让我们去写,至少我们学过的句子都能保证写对,你别说,还真是有效果。受这件事情的启发,我觉得英语口语的训练,还真可以用这个方法来训练,只要学生肚子中装的有东西,他就敢张开嘴来说了。其实这也就是古人常说的:“熟读唐诗三百首,不会吟诗也会做。”
六、在纠正学生口语表达错误时应注意方法和策略
