I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon be in the last year of my high-school education and would after graduation be up against the college entrance examinations.

Though those examinations were still a year away, I had to start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the ideal time for me to do this.

At first I was rather dismayed at the thought of this, but later I thought it was better this way because by working hard this summer I could count on endless happy summers to come. With this in mind I then set to work like anything and only occasionally went out for a change or did some physical. I was not at all bored by this kind of life, for I was sustained by a hope.

It was the first day of our summer holiday. All of us were very happy. Why? Because we have one months to do things we love to do. We are free.

Although we have some homework. But we can finish them in several days. And the rest time we can make good use of. My god! We have been very tired after hard studying. In summer holidays I want to have full sleepand eat good food in order to replenish myself.

The longing summer vacation is approaching, it is the best part of the school year for me. I cannot let the holidays elapse (逝去) meaninglessly, my vacation should be a phase (时期、阶段) of harvest. The events in my plan should give me a sense of infinite potential.

The following plan may reveal the intensity of my desire to travel, work and study in this vacation. In the first few days I want to climb Mount Hua Shan with several friends to refresh ourselves. Then I tend to visit relatives, senior school teachers and former classmates(老同学). Everyone always has a good Sunday. On Sundays, everybody does some things what he like.

Last Sunday, Jack had a relaxing Sunday. He got up 6 o’clock. After breakfast, Jack played basketball with his friends. They were very happy. Then he played the guitar in the room. And he sang songs very loudly. Though it’s very relaxing for him, it also make very noisy for neighbors. Maybe he should turn down the music. At noon, jack fed his pet cat henry. He is Jack’s favorite. Jack always play with him on the weekends. At night, he watched TV on the sofa. At the some time, he ate many delicious snacks. So he really had a great time.

At the of day, jack thought if I always have a relaxing Sunday like today. I will become the happiest boy all over the world.

My summer vacation of this year was very enjoyable. I went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays. It is very beautiful there. There are green plants, clear rivers, lovely animals and kind people. I spent two weeks helping my grandfather do some farm work there. I wrote down what happened in my diary every day.

Besides that, I helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons. I helped them read English and improve their spoken English. Their parents thanked me for this.

I like the summer holidy so much. I look forward to summer holiday every year. Last summer, I went to Shen zhen for my holiday, which is also a city of seashore like Haikou. I enjoyed having a walk along the beach after supper or having a swim in the afternoon. The sky is blue, the air is fersh. Wherever you go, You can always see the green trees, the neat grasses and the colourful flowers. They were really wonderful. Shen Zhen has a lot of tall buildings. And it is a modern city.

I am planning to spend my summer holiday on sports this year. Playing basketball is always my favourite, so some of my classmates and I will form a small team and play basketball together. Sometimes we may have a match against some other teams and I do enjoy the sense when we win the game.

If you ask me what my favourite summer holiday will be like, traveling aound the only answer. I hope that one day I could meet different people and vist different places of interest.

嗨！暑假到了。你知道吗？我可是最烦暑假了，不是写作业就是做家务，玩会电脑也不行，我已经7.8天没发作文了啊！

在暑假里，我想和别人玩会儿都不行，我的朋友都去旅游去了，就算没旅游去的，也要上那烦人的补课班。虽说我有个8岁的弟弟吧，但是，这大热天的，我们俩个，上哪里去玩耍呢？

不过啊，我虽然最烦暑假了，但是，暑假也是有好处的，写完作业就可以看电视，要知道，暑假里可是有很多好看的节目的。你看那少儿台，好看的动画片。电视节目让你数也数不清。

每天刚从英语班走出来，又要走进“快乐作文”班，简直比坐在地牢里，还难受。这还不算最糟糕，最重要的是，每天回家都要写一大堆作业，把作业摞在一起，都要有20厘米高，300多篇！简直是吃了大补丸。不！比吃了大补丸都难受！具体是怎样的呢？还要听我慢慢道来。

放假的第一天，我听着英语老师在那读者英文：“apple苹果、banana香蕉、orange桔子、mango芒果……”唉，这些我在小学一年级就学会了，老师一“念经”我就想睡觉，时间一长，我就像孙悟空带紧箍咒一样，脑袋痛，可是，我的脑袋简直要爆炸了。终于放学了，可是，又走进了作文班，虽然是“快乐作文”，但却被我形容成“烦恼作文”，又由“从此不怕写作文”变成了“从此超超超……级怕写作文”。不但要写作文，还要抄、背作文。

当然，这还不是最苦的……

每天回家，还有一大堆的作业等着我，等着我回到他们怀抱里。写完之后，还要去练书法、弹钢琴……根本没有时间去玩耍了，每次听着下面小朋友欢笑的声音，我的心痒痒的。

放假第一天，都是这样度过的……唉，以后的日子，不就更苦了吗？真是悲惨啊！
