一、讲究命题的艺术
命题的基本要求是让学生有话可写,有话可说。可以把题目出在学生的身边,出在学生的心里,这样才能顺利地打开学生思维的闸门,使他们有事可记,有理可议,有情可抒。如,在讲完Jim’s day 这篇文章之后,我出了My mother’s day,My father’s day ,Lily’s day等一组题目,供学生写作。由于有范文作借鉴,又有熟悉的生活素材,加之课本中结合时态,反复比较,让学生对刚学的句子结构、关键词的掌握、时态的理解都有了深刻的记忆。这样,既达到了复习的目的,又起到了提高写作能力的作用。另外,教师可以把题目出得灵活一些,这样容易做到教师的计划性和学生的灵活性统一起来。
二、精心设计开篇词
作文题,一般来说是简洁明确、集中概括的,难于产生引人入胜的效果。要使学生在短时间内按题作文,就必须精心设计富有趣味性和启发性的导语,给学生以必要的启迪和引导,把他们的思绪调动起来。教师可以根据文章题材的不同设计不同的开篇词,如,这个作文题:Which do you like better,plants or animals?我设计了这样的开篇词:(1)Plants or animals ,which do you like better?I like plants .Why?Because...(2)Some people like plants .Some people like animals .I like animals ,too.Why ?Because...再比如,这样一个作文题:Why must we save every drop of water ?我设计了这样的开篇词:(1)Can we live without water ?Can the animals live without water?Can plants live without water ? The answers are “No”.Why ?Do you know ?Let me tell you...(2)An ad said ,“If we don’t save water,the last drop of water will be our tear...”
三、重视作前指导
中学生,尤其是初中生,作前指导是很有必要的。首先,要让学生明白英语写作的基本要求,即:要点全面、语言准确、语句通顺、条理清楚、表达明确、时态正确、思路灵活、格式无误、书写工整。在题目写出后,教师可帮助学生审题和明确此种文章的基本格式,然后按不同类型的题目,采用不同的方法打开思路。如,写记叙文,要说明时间、地点、人物、事件、经过、结果;写议论文,要阐述观点、说明理由、得出结论;书信题,如,信件、通知、便条等,要注意格式、称呼、问候、正文、结尾、日期等。同时,要给予时态用法的提醒。
四、及时做好作后点评、纠正
学生写好作文后,教师及时地加以点评也是很有必要的。当然,点评要注意以下三点:(1)要根据学生的不同情况,分批进行点评,有计划地做到心中有数。如甲同学是时态的问题,乙同学是句子结构的问题,而丙同学又是文章层次的问题等等。(2)注意学生有可能犯的错误,适时进行指导,以加强讲评的时效性。(3)不能一味地忙于找错误,要适时地进行鼓励,让学生看到自己的点滴进步,以起到巩固写作的作用,并让学生对自己的学习充满信心,从而克服对作文的恐惧感。同时,教会学生检查英语小作文的方法,可以从以下几个方面进行检查复核:(1)字数是否相符;(2)体裁格式是否正确;(3)内容要点是否全面;(4)语言要点是否有错(时态、人称、主谓一致、习惯用法等等);(5)单词拼写、大小写及标点符号是否正确。
《教育心理学》(藩菽主编本)指出:“及时的评价一般比不及时的效果要好,因为及时的评价利用了刚刚留下的鲜明的记忆表象,使学生进一步产生改进它的学习的愿望;而不及时的评价则往往在激励学生改进学习方面的作用较小,因为在学生意识中完成时的情景已经比较淡漠了。”当然,教师不可能对每个学生都进行分析评价,把好、中、差的学生各抽出一部分进行点评。尤其是要参加下一次课前演讲的学生的小作文要着重点评和指导。
五、重视演讲技巧的提示
小作文,同时又是演讲稿,教师要给学生一定的演讲技巧的指导。如,语调、语气、语速、body language等等。
六、重视演讲后的点评和解疑释难
学生在听演讲的过程中也许会有比较陌生的词、词组、习惯用语、习语、谚语、特殊句型、一词多义等等,教师在学生演讲后给予适当的点评和注释,这样的小作文操练能达到事半功倍的效果。
总之,在指导小作文的过程中,教师要因人而异地给予每个学生积极的提示,以激励学生写作的积极性,顺利地完成写作任务。

She explained her son's final wish and asked if it might be possible to give her six-year-old son a ride around the block on a fire engine. Fireman Bob said, "Look, we can do better than that. If you'll have your son ready at seven o'clock Wednesday morning, we'll make him an honorary fireman for the whole day. He can come down to the fire station, eat with us, go out on all the fire calls, the whole nine yards! Having his dream come true, with all the love and attention that was lavished upon him, so deeply touched Billy that he lived three months longer than any doctor thought possible.One night all of his vital signs began to drop dramatically and the head nurse, who believed in the hospice concept that no one should die alone, began to call the family members to the hospital. Then she remembered the day Billy had spent as a fireman, so she called the fire chief and asked if it would be possible to send a fireman in uniform to the hospital to be with Billy as he made his transition. The chief replied, " We can do better than that. We'll be there in five minutes. Will you please do me a favor?
When you hear the sirens screaming and see the lights flashing, will you announce over the PA system that there is not a fire? It's just the fire department coming to see one of it's finest members one more time. And will you open the window to his room? Thanks."About five minutes later a hook and ladder truck arrived at the hospital, extended its ladder up to Billy's third floor open window and 16 firefighters climbed up the ladder into Billy's room. With his mother's permission, they hugged him and held him and told him how much they loved him. With his dying breath, Billy looked up at the fire chief and said, "Chief, am I really a fireman now?"

一、英语微作文与口语教学
英语微作文是指用英语针对某一内容写出一小篇文章,主要是就作文的选材小,内容单一这一层面而言。既然是微作文,就规定了作文的话题及写的频率。它与学生的词汇量、语法、句法能力和逻辑思维能力等有密不可分的关系,微作文也是学生综合能力的体现。口语表达能力就是指学生能用正确的英语语音、语调、语气进行会话、表述信息、交流思想的能力。表达双方为了一定的目的,运用恰当、准确、规范的口头语言,进行思想交流的言语活动。口语表达是一个双向互动的过程,在双向互动的语言实践中培养学生的口语交际能力。激励策略指激励不仅仅是一种教育方法,更是一种教育手段。激励以尊重学生为前提,以激发需求为先导,以挖掘潜能为宗旨;始动于教师激励的教育思想,着眼于学生学习动机的培养和学习系统能道德内化机制的完善,立足于学生主体性的发挥,从而促进他们生动、活泼、主动地发展。
二、英语教学存在的主要问题
1、牛津教材难度和小学生口语接受能力的反差
教学大纲明确指出,小学英语教学主要目的是通过生动活泼的课堂教学活动,对学生进行基本的听、说、读、写训练,使学生打好语音、语调基础,使学生获得为交际初步运用英语的能力。但如何才能使学生积极主动参与对话活动,如何通过“对话”课题的学习,使学生的知识技能向交际能力转化,从而达到教学的最终目的。
2、英语教学中的串联与并联
每一本小学英语教科书将共同的话题作为一个独立的单元,教师教学时是整体教学一个单元。学生们的学也是仅仅涉及到老师新授的单元,学生本人很少能主动的将前几个单元的话题串联起来。基础较好的学生能主动的将本单元新授的话题用几个简短的句子并联。而小学英语的口语要求学生能与他人简单的交流,这就需要学生能将以前所学的句型串联起来。
3、口语交流中的试错形象
学习者对自己外语学习能力的自我评价,我们不妨称之为英语学习的自我形象。学好英语首先要求学生开口练习,自我形象问题就变得尤其突出。发音不好,特别是在课堂上练习口语,在同学和老师之前暴露自己的“缺陷”,会对自我形象构成威胁,导致学习者本能地筑起心理屏障,久而久之,严重者甚至对英语学习产生排斥心理,阻止英语信息的输入。
三、运用英语微作文,让口语教学独放异彩
1、教学分类施教
根据基础的好坏将学生分成若干个层次,对不同层次的学生提出不同的要求。如基础知识相对较好,接受能力较强,潜力较大的学生则注重培养其口语运用能力。让他们能主动的将以前所学的句型,针对某一个话题拓展,对所学的句型串联。对起点较低的学生则采取各种手段和措施,鼓励学生从试错开始,主抓基础知识,能将本单元的重点句型并联式拓展。在评价时针对学生程度的不同给他们制定不等的学习目标,只要他们达到我给他们制定的个人目标,在评价时都会给他们以很高的肯定和赞扬。
2、教师充分发挥主导作用
学生是活的,课程是死的。课堂教学必须有浓郁的生活气息,教学活动必须满足学生的需要,能接触真实自然的英语。在学习对话时,学生首先要听到清晰的语音语调,通过使用英语来体验成功。所以他们更需要大量的交际机会,从而真正喜欢开口说英语,并能意识到自己取得的进步。其次,为避免学生产生厌恶心理,作业可以布置书面的,以三两句的微作文都可以。
3、做自己的主人,不被牵着鼻子走
帮助学生树立良好的英语学习自我形象,无疑消除了学生的心理后患,从而能为其树立口语交际信心。帮助学生成功,利用帮助自卑者找回自信,特别是帮助所谓的“后进生”,通过微作文,开启英语口语之路,让他们能主动的写简短的几个句子,帮助他们达到目标并及时给予真诚的鼓励,促使他们体验到成功的快乐。
总之,我们从牛津教材难度和小学生口语接受能力的反差;英语教学中的串联与并联;牛津英语学习的试错形象等等方面探析,可以研究出一些提高小学英语口语的策略思考。英语教学中的微作文教学及解决策略还非常浅薄,不够细致和深入,在实际教学中还是会出现这样那样的问题和困惑。课堂英语教学无止境,在千变万化的课堂英语教学实践中,面对鲜活的每个对象,在教学中要充分激发学生的能动性和主动性。
